Tamariki absolutely love learning new songs, spending time together, and sharing experiences. Our Nursery Circle time is a cherished part of the day, just before morning kai, where we come together as a group. During this time, we sing songs, read books, dance, and have lots of fun! This special time supports tamariki’s social and emotional development, nurturing a strong sense of belonging and well-being as they engage with each other. It also encourages language development, creativity, and motor skills, all of which are key elements of Te Whāriki’s principles, particularly the strands of Communication and Well-being. Tamariki not only learn to express themselves but also to listen and share in the joy of group activities.
